Golf Simulators in Donegal
Donegal has some of the finest links golf in the world — Ballyliffin, Murvagh, Rosapenna — and some of the most challenging weather to accompany it. A simulator doesn't replace that, but it keeps your swing sharp through the months when the Atlantic simply won't cooperate.
Who we install for across Donegal
Donegal is genuinely different from our other installation counties — larger distances between population centres, a stronger tradition of self-built or farmhouse properties, and a level of weather exposure that makes the indoor practice argument almost too easy to make.
Letterkenny is the county's natural hub, and we find clients there who are close enough to the coast to appreciate a practice alternative on the days when Rosapenna or Murvagh are off the table. Bundoran in the south has a strong sporting culture, and the surf-and-golf demographic there turns out to be a genuine audience for home simulators. Donegal town itself has a compact but active golfing community.
We work with:
Letterkenny homeowners with garages or extensions suitable for a sim room
Rural Donegal properties — farmhouses and self-builds with large outbuildings, often with spectacular settings
Bundoran and north Donegal — where the outdoors lifestyle makes a quality indoor backup very valuable
Golf clubs and tourism properties looking to extend their appeal beyond the summer months
Space, cost, and how logistics work
Donegal's rural character works in our favour when it comes to space. Many clients here have outbuildings — converted stables, agricultural stores, or purpose-built garden rooms — with ceiling heights and footprints that easily exceed our recommended 3m H × 5m W × 6m L. When space is the constraint elsewhere in the country, it's rarely the issue in Donegal.
Insulation and finish are particularly important here: a simulator room in a Donegal winter needs to be properly warm and draught-free, and we factor that into the brief from the start for any rural build. This is another reason the bespoke route — rather than a self-build Sim-in-a-Box setup — tends to be popular with Donegal clients.
Budget:
€8,995 — Sim-in-a-Box: the complete bundle, fully installed
€10,000–€20,000: bespoke room, designed for the Donegal climate and your specific space
For Donegal installs, we plan visits carefully and typically combine them with other work in the north-west. Travel time is factored openly into any quote. The pricing page and room design guide are good preparation before we talk.
Why Donegal clients work with us despite the distance
We're not going to pretend Donegal is around the corner from our Dublin base — it's not. But the clients we've worked with here have been some of the most satisfied, partly because they've thought it through carefully before committing, and partly because a quality simulator in Donegal weather conditions is genuinely transformative.
For Donegal clients, here's our approach:
Video consultation first — we assess your space remotely, give you an honest brief, and only travel when there's a real project to assess
Site visit included for bespoke builds — we come up, measure everything, and sign off on the design in person
The €50 consultation is redeemable — and the video-consult option means geography is no barrier to getting started
If the demo centre visit is out of reach for you, we can arrange detailed video walkthroughs of the systems and answer every technical question remotely — many of our best Donegal clients have never visited Dublin before their install.
Ring 01 582 6935 or get in touch online — the conversation starts wherever you are.
