Embarking on the journey of setting up a golf simulator at home? You’re not alone! This blog post aims to address the frequently asked questions (FAQs) surrounding the setup of golf simulators in the comfort of your own space. From choosing the right technology to optimizing your room and equipment, we’ve got you covered.
Q: Can I get some prices please
A: Thanks for getting in touch. If you’d like some prices for a home golf simulator then I’d need to know the dimensions of the space that you have, the minimum required is 3m High x 5m Wide x 6m Length, or 9.8feet x 16.4feet x 19.6feet. To get us to install a bespoke full setup for you with everything it starts at approximately €10,000 up to €20,000 depending on the components you choose. Have a look at our simulator builder here as it will give you an idea of what’s required as well as building a guiding price https://www.simulatedsports.ie/product/virtual-golf-simulator-builder/]
Alternatively we have some bundles starting at €1,945 that will give you a basic setup at home to get started with, have a look here: https://www.simulatedsports.ie/product-category/bundles/
Q: Just a quick question with regard to screen dimensions, do you have a recommended H x W for the screen? Based on a 4m max external height for the room I am looking at a low point of approximately 2.7m at the sides going up to 3.5m in the middle for internal height. Would a 2.5m high screen be a decent size or are they usually higher than that?
A: 2.5m is fine but if you have 2.7m at the sides we would always recommend trying to max it out!
Hope that helps
Q: I will only have a 3 m width room will all monitors work with this.
A: They will all work with 3m width, generally. It is the length that will dictate which launch monitor. Generally radar launch monitors such as Mevo+ and Garmin go behind the player which means you need a minimum 5.5m in length. SkyTrak/GC3 or any overhead launch monitors only require 5m.
